Sean brings together excellent experience along with a professional qualification within his chosen sector. From our first conversation, we knew that Alexander Steele would be a great fit for him.
We felt that what he really needed to fulfill his potential was the opportunity to work in a positive & thriving office environment that gives him the one to one support when required alongside access to excellent marketing and resourcing tools. Sean brings to Alexander Steele an increase in knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing industry as a whole and we look forward to learning from him whilst he builds his desk.
What inspired you to choose a move into process and plant engineering recruitment?
My passion is Chemistry, in fact I completed a 4 year bachelor honours degree in Chemical Engineering at Heriot Watt University. I have since become Lvl-3 Certified by our REC body and gained 4 years of relevant Engineering Recruitment experience – across Chemicals/Renewables/FMCG – so I am excited to grow a specialist team at Alexander Steele.
Working at Alexander Steele Recruitment gives me…
An exciting and collaborative culture that is promoted from director level and all the way through the company. Alexander Steele provides corporate level experience and training within a welcoming and homely environment - the best of both worlds!
At the weekend I like to…
Never waste a minute! I ensure I’m always busy and have something planned whether that be with my partner or meeting up with friends & family. We love to get together and explore what Scotland has to offer (NC500, Monroes) as well as heading out to bars & restaurants or watching a multitude of films & tv.
The best song to get me ready for the work day is…
I’m going to cheat here, it’s a playlist, 'Pete Tong – Ibiza @ BBC Proms', this is a combination of my love for orchestra and classic dance music. This was the playlis that helped motivate me to cycle 500 miles in 30 days, raising £1400 for West Lothian Foodbank (a similar charitable event that AS have also done in the past and want to continue promoting.) I can also listen to 60s-80s music all day - everyday!
