Brand Manager - Private & Own Label Dairy Products Alexander Steele is recruiting on behalf of an exciting British, traditional producer of dairy products. Our client supplies both private & own label products to the UK's largest retailers as well as operating within Food service. The business boasts award winning products & continues to thrive & innovate through investment. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Marketing team; In this role, you will support the strong growth ambitions for the clients brands by leading projects from day one with the support of the Senior Brand Manager. You will champion marketing communication plans across multiple products & channels. Hybrid working - Office in Leicestershire area 3 days per week. £40-45k + bonus + benefits Responsibilities include: Consumer & Market insight: analyse and communicate the reality of consumers & shopper behaviours, beliefs, attitudes and motivations in a way that can be leveraged to create consumer driven strategy for our brands. Monitor market & consumer trends. Marketing communications plan: support the development of the consumer-led marketing activity and assets, bringing the brand to market consistently across all channels. Drive consumer and customer engagement in all aspects of our brand activity using consumer insight to identify the right channel mix and generating the content for these channels (social & digital media, PR, POS, website, events etc.). Social media & content creation will be a part of the role (including some copywriting) and you will also be supporting the development of the shopper marketing plans. Brand strategy & management: create strategy, positioning and PR outreach & support development of the brand portfolio. Developing and implementing 3-year brand and communication plans. Budget management & evaluation: you will work with commercial finance and sales teams to ensure the optimal commercial activation and associated brand investments. Ensure budgets are managed within target and are effectively deployed with our agencies and suppliers of choice in a timely manner. Evaluate and share learning from all campaigns to improve ROI on future activities. Design & artwork: lead external design agencies, support with the in-house packaging process, ensuring implementation with our packaging department and production. Support development of brand guidelines and visual identity where necessary. Brand activation: identify and coordinate key events & shows in line with brand fit and supporting the commercial team with relevant customer initiatives. We also have a website redevelopment plan in the pipeline which you will be heavily involved in. Internal communications & agency management: building and maintain relationships with our internal teams and managing agency partners and their work on our brand from brief to evaluation, as you represent the brand. We are looking for a candidate who is: Able to demonstrate experience in an FMCG or retail environment. Able to demonstrate extensive experience of managing brand strategy and marketing plans. Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise several cross-functional projects with multiple deadlines at any one time. A great team player, able to work independently and as part of a team. Strong presentation, interpersonal & influencing skills. Have a can-do, positive approach who is self-motivated and willing to show initiative, flexibility, and aspiration to improve working methods. Proficient written and verbal skills.
