Business Account Executive

Business Account Executive- Alexander Steele are working exclusively in partnership on this role with a world famous spirit & wine company. Salary is up to £40K + bonus + car allowance. Role if WFH but ideally looking for someone who could go into the Stansted office once per week. The Business Account Executive role will be responsible for the management and growth of a portfolio of Route to market customers within the off-trade channel. The key objective is to develop sales of existing SKU’s and deliver a significant NPD pipeline. Main Tasks and Responsibilities: Support the grocery Business Account Managers in delivering the annual budget for relevant grocery customers. Representing the Group’s portfolio of products across the Spirits Category. Individual responsibility for One Stop and gifting accounts. Data analysis (with category Team) using retailer-specific systems (Dunnhumby, Nectar 360) to evaluate promotions, provide input for volume forecasting which will feed into account strategies and plans to secure Company targets. Work with the Business Account Managers to develop joint business plans with efficient and effective investment to support growth. Provide insights to drive negotiations for new listings, price, promotions, distribution and manage the promotional budget. Interrogate ongoing weekly and monthly performance, deliver clear insight and action to influence forward performance. Provide timely reporting and input into monthly business reporting timetable (eg Flash report). To support the Business Account Managers to ensure accurate internal communication to supply team in regards to promotions/ changes to distribution. Cross functional working with other departments. Develop an excellent product knowledge, and also broader Beer, Wine & Spirits trends- both on and off trade. Ideal Candidate: Excellent organisation and planning skills. Highly analytical. Minimum of 1-2 years FMCG experience, ideally in spirits/beers/wines. Entrepreneurial and ambitious self-starter who can set their own targets and efficiently organise work schedule. Proven track-record of meeting targets and objectives within existing accounts. Strong financial/commercial understanding together with intellect and curiosity to interpret performance and recommend action. Ability to build and sustain excellent relationships at all levels (internal and external). Comfortable working on large accounts with ability to develop strong and robust commercial relationships. Enthusiasm to chase new business and foresight to see the opportunities that others miss. Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
