Here at Alexander Steele Recruitment we are working with a client that believe their people are at the heart of business. They are looking for a Compliance Manager to join their team at their site in Essex. Reporting to the Site Technical Manager, the Compliance Managers key reposonsibilities will include having responsibility for the performance of the Technical department, for the Quality/ Safety systems, legality of the products, to develop a continuous improvement of site culture, to develop an efficient menthod of analytical data support and report on findings to the business, the customer and supplier contacts. Compliance Manager responsibilities: •Quality Manual, Quality Assurance Documentation (QAD) and Quality Document Review and Arrangement •Management and Control of the Standard Operating Procedures •Allergen Control and Management Review •HACCP – Flow/Process/Team - Be an active member of the HACCP committee team and attend all HACCP meets. •Preparation/Lead for BRC/Customer Audits and be an Internal Auditing Lead •Complete Training / Induction with staff •Quality Management Systems Manual covering the clauses of the BRC scope. •SOP/QAD in place and trained out to all relevant departments. •Liaise with external Certification bodies with our BRC requirement and scope ensuring it meets our business goals and product portfolio. •Attend all internal meetings, Morning Operational Meeting / Project Meeting / Technical Meetings/ Feasibility Meetings and other scheduled meetings that require FTM attendance. •Agree Quality Improvement Plans with the factory team, devise a method of implementation and key outcomes and deliverables to improve efficiency and costs. •Support development by assisting with samples and new developments. •Cover in the absence of the Quality Manager. •To develop and maintain productive communication links with the production and operational staff. •To develop and maintain customer and supplier liaison, developing trust and understanding to ensure an efficient, sustainable, and mutually productive relationship is in place. •To deliver on agreed personal and team K.P. I’s. The Candidate to have the following: Qualifications •Degree Educated •HACCP Level 3 •Third Party Audit Training •BRC V8 Trained •Train the Trainer Experience of •Manufacturing / Factory Implementation of Systems a Must Have •Quality Management •Quality Documentation •HACCP Skills and abilities •Excellent Communicator •Well Organised •Work to tight schedules •Meet Deadlines The salary for this role is £38,000 - £40,000 depending on experience. Working hours are 8am - 5pm.
