General Manager

Alexander Steele is currently working in partnership with a large, chilled food manufacturing business based in the Beverley area. We have been asked to assist the business with the recruitment of a General Manager. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for driving and improving performance in the manufacturing facility with a key focus on operational performance. There has recently been a large capital investment in the site so it would be a great opportunity to lead and drive change. The position is paying circa £75,000 depending on experience and the business will also offer a very competitive benefits package. The Role Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimising unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards Develop systems and processes that track and optimise productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus Identify areas needing improvement and implementing changes.
