Alexander Steele is proud to be partnering with a fantastic retail apparel and fashion brand with Scotland at the heart of it but also globally established. They are looking for a Head of Operations who can oversee PD and Production, Sourcing, and Supply Chain. It is a real period of growth and a great opportunity to join a dynamic environment. They are looking for the right individual to join the business, with a keen eye for detail and a hands-on approach. You’ll be reporting to the Head of Sourcing and Supply and will be playing a key role in managing PD, sourcing and production. What they are looking for: • Collaborating closely with our design team to ensure the design vision is well executed, at a high standard and key dates are met. • Regularly liaising with Merchandising, Ecommerce, Wholesale and Marketing teams to update status and meet deadlines. • Managing PD and Production team, overseeing all aspects of operations, including raw material sourcing, product development, production and on time deliveries. • Supervising Product Development, Sourcing and Production process from sketch to delivery across multiple overseas suppliers • Contributing and leading on our sourcing and supplier strategy. • Proactively addressing PD and Production issues and supporting the team to resolve them. • Understanding supplier capabilities, material, and production challenges, and supporting in finding solutions Skills needed: • 10 years+ in a similar role, with experience of managing small teams. • Experience in PD and Production, ideally within the luxury leather goods sector. • Adaptable to change and experience in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication skills, be highly motivated, and driven for success. • Highly organised and can juggle competing priorities, with fantastic attention to detail. • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
