Alexander Steele is working in partnership with this wonderful food manufacturer based in Northamptonshire. We are assisting the business with the recruitment of a Hygiene Manager. This will be a day shift role; however, you may be required to work some weekends and the occasional night shift. The salary on offer for the position is between £30,000 - £35,000 per annum. As the Hygiene Manager you will implement and supervise (through directly-reporting hygiene team leaders) the factory equipment, environment and offices cleaning in line with agreed hygiene standards, schedules and cleaning instruction cards in order to maintain product and environment food safety. Monitor and continuously improve performance against hygiene and microbiological standards. The Role (reporting into the Technical Manager): • Supervise and brief hygiene operatives in maintaining satisfactory standards of performance, safety, hygiene, PPE and discipline. • Ensure the cleanliness of the canteens, locker rooms and toilet areas at all times maintaining stock replenishment systems when required. • Instruct and carry out the cleaning of all machinery at the request of management. • Ensure that cleaning and disinfection are carried out at the frequency and according to the methods laid down in the factory hygiene schedule and instruction cards. • Responsible for checking the standard of cleaning is in accordance with the specifications via visual inspection, and completing and signing the required documentation • Manage and maintain the staffing levels on hygiene ensuring that all staff are fully trained and working efficiently. • Maintain weekly stock check of cleaning chemicals and equipment and replenish where necessary ensuring that there are no undue shortages The Candidate • Experience working within the food manufacturing sector is essential. • COSHH trained. • Possess a “right first time” diligent and conscientious work ethic • Flexibility If you are interested in hearing more about it this position, please apply with your most recent CV or contact Richard Steele at Alexander Steele Recruitment
