Maintenance Engineer

The role: Alexander Steele are on the lookout for a Maintenance Engineer to join an ambitious and growing Food production business in the Kent area, supplying major supermarkets & wholesalers throughout the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a strong team and have an impact on a large organisation. This role will have various key tasks and responsibilities, including contribution towards continuous improvement and working with the team on breakdowns and / or emergency repairs. Daily checks will also be carried out efficiently and in a timely manner. Ensuring all works abide to health and safety regulations will also be a crucial part of the role. The candidate: We are looking for a time served engineer. Electrical / Mechanical qualification is needed (City and guilds or equivalent apprenticeship). Experienced in installations, breakdowns and planned maintenance. Routine checks and identification of preventative measures will be required. Previous experience working in the Food Manufacturing Industry is also desirable. At least 17th Edition Regs qualification is attractive. The perfect candidate will also be up-beat, positive and will possess a good attitude to work. On offer: • Great rate of pay: £21.98 / hour • 4 on 4 off – rotating between days and nights (4 days on 4 off, 4 nights on 4 off) 18:00 – 06:00 & 06:00 – 18:00
