A highly established food manufacturing business are seeking a factory management accountant to join their finance function.
The business seek a dynamic finance professional, ideally with extensive manufacturing experience. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that financial reporting and analysis is maintained and improved in order to aid decision making and improve factory performance.
Main Duties
Analysis and commentary of monthly management accounts and investigation of variances.
Management reporting on profitability, sales, stock and factory performance on a monthly and weekly basis.
Producing and reporting on annual budgets for the business.
Providing financial support to Commercial & Operational Management
Reviewing Operational KPIs (including labour efficiency and material variances)
Provide product costings for all existing/on-going products, and new products / tenders.
Analysing and presenting CAPEX and OPEX applications.
Identifying areas for cost savings.
Utilise the ERP system in order to help support the factory in continuous development.
Assessing and updating overhead recovery rates
Assisting in the negotiation of operational contracts
Creation and analysis of ad-hoc reports to support Department Heads
Key attributes
Part/fully qualified accountant (CIMA or equivalent) or QBE.
Will possess excellent communication skills, be strong in Excel, have a good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications and have some systems management experience.Clear written reporting skills.
Strong numerical/analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work accurately with attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.
Work as part of a team but also be a self-starter.
Strong ERP experience in a manufacturing environment (ideally SAP B1).
