Planning Manager – FMCG Manufacturing
Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Salary: Competitive + Benefits
Saudi Nationals Only

Alexander Steele Recruitment is partnering with a leading international FMCG manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Planning Manager for its operations in Saudi Arabia.

This is a key leadership role responsible for driving end-to-end planning across production, materials, inventory and supply, while ensuring strong alignment between manufacturing, commercial and supply chain teams.

The successful candidate will play an important part in improving planning capability, strengthening S&OP processes, managing capacity and material constraints, and ensuring the business can respond effectively to changing demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead supply and production planning across the Saudi operation
  • Manage short-, medium- and long-term production and capacity planning
  • Oversee MRP, raw materials and packaging availability
  • Ensure supply plans are aligned with demand forecasts and commercial priorities
  • Lead the supply side of the S&OP process
  • Manage inventory levels, service performance and supply-chain KPIs
  • Identify capacity, material and supply constraints and develop effective mitigation plans
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Commercial, Procurement, Logistics and Demand Planning teams
  • Drive continuous improvement across planning processes, systems and ways of working
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of planners
  • Support new product launches, business growth and operational transformation initiatives

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone with strong planning experience within a high-volume FMCG manufacturing environment.

You should ideally have:

  • 8–10+ years of experience across supply, production or materials planning
  • Strong direct experience within food, beverage or wider FMCG manufacturing
  • Proven knowledge of MPS, MRP, production scheduling and capacity planning
  • Strong S&OP experience
  • Experience managing raw materials, packaging and finished-goods inventory
  • Previous experience leading or developing a planning team
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing constraints and operational planning
  • Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills
  • Experience driving planning improvements, automation or process transformation
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related discipline preferred
  • APICS / CPIM / CSCP or similar qualification would be advantageous
  • Strong SAP or ERP experience

This role would particularly suit someone who is hands-on, commercially aware and improvement-focused, rather than someone who simply maintains existing processes.

The business is looking for someone who can challenge current ways of working, improve planning capability and operate effectively in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
