Procurement & Supply Chain Manager

Our client, a leading FMCG food business has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain professional to manage and develop their suppliers and ensure maximum customer availability and sales as well as to manage the planning team in the day to day inventory management. The business is passionate about developing its people and has won awards for driving sustainability and corporate social responsibility Key responsibilities include: • Lead a team of Planners in monitoring customer orders and daily amendments with suppliers. • Oversee stock management and waste levels for all categories and ensure there is clear communication to the business. • Assist the procurement and planning team in streamlining the current processes by developing the ERP system. • Maintain fair and competitive pricing with suppliers to ensure a sustainable return and to remain relevant in the retail market. • Develop key projects with supply partners to further strengthen the supply chain offer to our customers. • Maintain clear visibility of innovation and customer strategy agendas so that each product area can correctly plan to the future needs of the business. Candidate Requirements: • A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Commerce or equivalent • Supply Chain experience including Materials & Supply Planning, Inventory and Purchasing management within a Food environment will be required. • Fresh Produce or Readymade Food experience will be advantageous. • People management and skills development experience • Good Excel skills and experience using an ERP system Salary will be circa £45K to £55K + 10% Bonus + Benefits Hybrid remote working option with travel to their Hertfordshire based office 3 to 4 days a week
