Procurement Manager

Our client, a leading global Food manufacturing business has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager to lead on implementing and developing the sourcing strategy for their Raw & Packaging materials in a manner that delivers value for the business. Key responsibilities include: • Managing commercial relationships with suppliers to ensure low risk security of supply and a competitive cost base. • Ensure that existing suppliers enable the business to continue to grow by profitably supplying high quality, innovative products. • Ensure that all raw material and packaging spend is in scope, and aligned with the broader business objectives around Quality, Innovation, Risk Management, Total Cost and Customer Service. • Develop tools and procurement processes to transform the procurement function into a true business partner of internal stakeholders. Candidate requirements: • A tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Management, CIPS or equivalent. • Procurement, Sourcing or Purchasing Management experience in a Food/Beverage manufacturing environment is required. • Strong supplier negotiation and supplier management skills. • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers. • Strong numerical and analytical skills with experience of producing financial reports.
