Alexander Steele continues to work with one of the UK's fastest growing and most innovative food manufacturers and we are currently supporting them in finding an experienced Production Manager to join their facility in Killeen.

The role:
Reporting in to the Head of Production, the Production Manager will oversee the daily operations of an extremely fast paced and temperature controlled manufacturing facilities, ensuring the completion of all production tasks and related activities according to the build plan.
It is crucial for the production manager to surpass customer expectations in terms of product quality, cost, and delivery. This involves enhancing efficiency, optimizing production levels, and promoting operational excellence.
Responsibilities;
• Proactively lead the production team to strictly adhere to food hygiene regulations, ensuring the timely and sanitary delivery of daily production.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and establish objectives for all production staff, fostering continuous improvement and professional development.
• Conduct training sessions for production staff on relevant subjects to enhance skills, knowledge, and adherence to industry best practices.
• Engage with the production team to ensure a comprehensive understanding and implementation of current business policies and procedures.
• Cultivate a strong work ethic among production staff, fostering a culture of mutual trust, respect, and cooperation within the team.
• Participate in the resolution of grievances, maintaining a fair and constructive approach to address employee concerns.
• Liaise and negotiate effectively with customers and suppliers to maintain positive and collaborative relationships.
• Respond promptly and effectively to management, customer, and supplier queries, ensuring clear and transparent communication.
• Adhere to all health and safety requirements in strict accordance with company policies and procedures including wearing required protective clothing, including overalls, gloves, shoe covers, headgear, etc., in designated areas to ensure personal and team safety.
• Maintain constant awareness of potential hazards and promptly report any identified risks to the supervisor for immediate resolution.
• Follow all safety rules, company policies, and procedures when operating machinery, ensuring the use of required safety guards. Never compromise the safe operation of machinery by removing safety features.
The Candidate;
• Experience working in a food manufacturing environment in a managerial or supervisory position
• An excellent understanding of Food Hygiene and the importance of good Health and Safety practices and procedures
• Good written and spoken communication Skills in English
• Strong analytical, problem-solving solving and decision-making abilities
• Good planning, organisational, and time management skills
• Proficient IT skills (Microsoft applications, email and internet)
• Ability to take accountability, make decisions, and work on own initiative without supervision
• A flexible approach to work to meet the needs of the business and the role
