Production Shift Supervisor (Nightshift)

Location: Snodland, Kent

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Salary - £35,000 - £40,000 plus shift allowance

Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off days

Alexander Steele is partnering with a leading Food Manufacturing business based in Kent, who are looking to hire a Production Shift Supervisor. You’ll be responsible for leading and developing a team on shift to meet production, quality, and safety targets while driving continuous improvement on the line.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, motivate and manage a production team to meet daily output and quality targets
Ensure health & safety, hygiene, and compliance standards are followed at all times
Monitor team performance and support individual development plans
Maintain clear and effective communication during and between shifts
Support shift KPI delivery across efficiency, waste, quality, and attendance
Investigate non-conformances and contribute to performance reviews and daily meetings
Maintain accurate production records and shift documentation
Coordinate smooth shift handovers
Raise people-related concerns with management and HR as required

Skills & Experience

Experience in a supervisory role within a food manufacturing or similar environment
Strong leadership and communication skills
Knowledge of BRC, HACCP, and food safety standards
Comfortable working with performance metrics and production targets
Basic IT and reporting skills
Flexible approach and a hands-on, proactive attitude
Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems
