Do you enjoy working in Quality Assurance or Technical within the food industry and enjoys fresh challenges within a customer facing role? We are working in partnership with a leading food manufacturer who has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Technologist (customer facing) to join their established team in Ruddington. The role: •Ensure all customer specific quality requirements are met and ensure all customer quality attributes are developed and recorded •Work with the NPD team to develop QAS standards in line with the customers’ expectations •Communications with food service, retail, and delivery box sectors •Maintenance and presentation of the QACCP manual for the site •To monitor production runs in the factory against a schedule •To conduct weekly taste panels with the Senior Management team and where necessary implement changes •Ensure raw material at intake meets the quality requirements to generate the correct quality standards for the customer •Weekly Pret Crop reports and Pret Monthly KPI reports •To work with the NPD department to ensure that specifications, trial paperwork and IPS standards meet the customer’s needs •To investigate Customer Complaints with Production personnel •To identify the root cause of the complaint and implement corrective actions with the relevant production staff •Write Customer Complaint responses, ensuring any necessary corrective action has been completed or implemented •Auditing of the process to ensure compliance to site food safety rules and customer quality requirements The Candidate: •Ideally you will have chilled food experience and having dealt with either retailers or large food service operators •Adaptable and flexible - able to quickly master new ideas and processes •QA experience is essential, and experience of writing specifications is desirable •Must have good prioritisation, problem solving skills •Must have great communication and IT skills The Offer: •£30,000 •Monday – Friday, 10am – 6pm •28 days annual leave (extra holidays with service) •8% Company Pension contribution •Employee Assistance Programme, Life assurance, Training courses and opportunities to progress and other benefits •On-site parking If you are interested in hearing more about it this position, please apply with your most recent CV.
