Regulatory Affairs Manager – Middle East
Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Start: Immediate
Nationality Requirement: Saudi National
Alexander Steele is working with a leading multinational FMCG food manufacturing business to appoint a Regulatory Affairs Manager – Middle East.
This is a senior regulatory role, focused on driving compliance, governance and market enablement across the Middle East region. The successful candidate will act as a key advisor to the business, ensuring regulatory requirements are clearly translated into practical, commercial and risk-aware recommendations.
The role will be based in Jeddah and requires someone who can start immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regulatory affairs activity across Middle East markets.
- Provide clear guidance on GCC food regulations, product compliance, claims, ingredients and labelling requirements.
- Support market entry, product launches and innovation projects from a regulatory perspective.
- Build strong compliance reporting processes, including risk visibility, KPIs and governance.
- Partner closely with R&D, Quality, Commercial, Packaging, Legal and regional leadership teams.
- Monitor regulatory developments and communicate the impact to the business.
- Represent the organisation externally with relevant authorities, trade bodies and regulatory forums.
- Balance regulatory risk with commercial objectives in a fast-moving FMCG environment.
Candidate Profile
- Saudi National.
- Degree qualified in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition or a related scientific discipline.
- Strong experience within regulatory affairs in FMCG, food manufacturing, ingredients, nutrition or related sectors.
- Strong knowledge of GCC food regulations.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across R&D, Quality, Commercial and Packaging.
- Confident engaging with external regulatory bodies and internal senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Available to start immediately or at very short notice.
