Sales Account Manager - London / South East Alexander Steele is working in partnership with one of the UK's Leading Food Manufacturers. They are looking for a Sales Account Manager to develop sales of the company's product range through the development of new business opportunities, while maintaining current business activities. Remote working - Extensive travel across South East UK - The role is paying between £45,000 - £55,000 per annum + Bonus + Benefits The role will involve selling value added Ingredients and so a strong technical background is key. Key Responsibilities: To achieve and exceed goals, objectives, and budget Develop a clear understanding of the Businesses capabilities and communicate them clearly to new and existing customers Update and prepare planners, sales reports, project briefs and any other reports as needed in a timely manner Continuously improve knowledge of the industry Maintain and grow sales margins by customer Negotiate sales and promotions with new and existing customers Work effectively with NPPD and Marketing departments in the development of new products for customers Prepare and implement the budget for your operating sector Attend exhibitions, trade shows and other industry events on behalf of the Business Manage and control overhead spend Work effectively with all departments to maintain excellent customer service To apply knowledge of the manufacturing sector to the Business to enable growth within the sector The Candidate: Minimum of 5 years Sales Experience within the Food Manufacturing / Bakery Industry Good knowledge of MS Office products and remote IT equipment (phone, laptop etc) Basic Food Hygiene Certificate Ability to travel (Flying, Driving, Overnight travel as needed) Flexible and adaptable to change Team player, able to develop excellent internal and external relationships Excellent communication skills both written and oral
