Senior Commercial Manager

Here at Alexander Steele we are delighted to continue our work with this wonderful business, who are now in the market to recruit Senior Commercial Manager. This is a new role and key to the commercial function as it will manage an account that is 65% of my clients business and will report to the Commercial Director. The role holder will drive market share and end-to-end profit for the this particular retail account, you will also be responsible for aspects of customer account relationship and for driving growth in both the category but also the companys market share. The post holder will also be critical to delivering the business commercial strategy, which includes driving direct sales and continually optimising the range within the account, overall you will have responsibility for all areas of sales, end to end margin and gross profit contribution of your account. For this role initially my client would like that 3 days is spent at Head Office which is based in Hertfordshire and the other 2 days you will work from home, but to be clear you will have full control of your diary. This is just an initial guideline whilst settling into the role. Ideally you will be: Experienced in dealing with multiple retailers involving making use of your account management/support and relationship building skills· Determined, enthusiastic with strong influencing and organisational skills Confident communicator, presenter and influencer with the ability to analyse competitive/market activity, trends and opportunities Career background in commercial roles, ideally within a short shelf life, fresh food, food to go categories. Creative thinker with a strong customer focused approach.
