Alexander Steele is proud to be working in partnership with a leading FMCG manufacturer based in Aberdeenshire to recruit a Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking business in a pivotal role, where you'll take ownership of logistics, customer service, and administration functions—ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of operations and supporting overall business performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience for both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Lead, support, and manage a small team across administration, customer service, and logistics.

  • Oversee procurement activities, inventory control, and regular data reporting.

  • Manage a significant logistics budget and meet weekly KPIs to support business performance.

  • Work closely with production to ensure stock availability and accuracy.

  • Act as a point of contact across departments to ensure smooth administrative operations.

  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and participate in supplier negotiations.

  • Monitor daily stock levels and proactively advise on production requirements.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of orders, invoicing, and stock management.

  • Support development and integration of systems (ERP and EDI) to streamline workflows.

  • Maintain compliance with all relevant policies and regulations, including food safety and health & safety.

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the office environment to support a productive workplace.


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a similar role within the FMCG or manufacturing sector.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.

  • Proficient in ERP systems and confident analysing data for business decisions.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Demonstrable experience managing third-party logistics and distribution networks.

  • A hands-on, proactive approach with a keen eye for detail and continuous improvement.
