We are working with a leading UK based food manufacturing business who are seen as innovators in their field and a trusted name in the snack industry. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join this business as Supply Chain Coordinator. This role would be an excellent opportunity for graduate looking to start their Supply Chain career with a business who offer support and development. As Supply Chain Coordinator you will be responsible for all supply chain, purchasing, demand and production planning elements of the business. Key responsibilities: Purchase of ingredients, packaging and services related to the manufacturing, storage and delivery of the businesses products and carry out all relevant administration Obtain quotes, make cost comparisons, negotiation and administration of purchase contracts, service level agreements and payment terms Manage the purchasing process, update on the progress of orders, contracts and reconciliation Update raw material prices Supply chain issues resolution Forecast demand based on sales history and forecasts Cost effective production and capacity planning Liaise with the production manager daily to ensure the most efficient production plan and minimise line changes to the agreed plan Monitor progress against the agreed plan and troubleshoot any issues, ensuring impacted sales orders are notified to the customer services team as early as possible NPD supply chain risk assessment and gate approval Map, review and identify threats to supply chain Supply chain legislation awareness and compliance Ensure an integrated, robust and effective continuous improvement strategy is in place across the supply chain function Contribute to continuous improvement by putting forward ideas that improve quality, efficiency and profitability across all areas of the business Maintain Food Safety Standards Maintain Health & Safety Standards The candidate: Some experience in or a degree in Supply Chain Demonstrate ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines Excellent communication and people skills. Good understanding and experience working with MS office SAP experience would be desirable. Be work as a team and individually. Be a highly motivated individually, with the willingness to learn new processes Ability to learn quickly, retain knowledge and work on own initiative to make decisions quickly Be efficient in prioritising workload. Have good attention to detail Strong organisational skills. Our client is paying a salary of £24,000 to £27,000 depending on experience. Monday to Friday working hours. They are offering support and development throughout your career.
