JOB TITLE: Commercial Manager LOCATION: Field-based with frequent travel to Warrington / London offices CHANNEL: Off Trade Sales MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: The Commercial Manager develops and executes commercial strategies to drive growth and profitability across key customers. They manage relationships, oversee promotions, budgets, and innovation to enhance brand visibility and market competitiveness. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Operational Strategy Development and Execution: • Develop and refine commercial strategies aligned with business goals. • Manage customer relationships and optimize engagement tactics. Promotional and Brand Oversight: • Plan and execute promotional campaigns to enhance brand visibility. • Evaluate promotional effectiveness and make data-driven decisions. Budget and Financial Management: • Manage budgets to maximize ROI and monitor financial performance. Own Label Sales and Innovation: • Lead innovation in own label, driving profitable growth for the company. Market Innovation and Leadership: • Identify and implement innovative practices to maintain industry leadership. People and Culture • Maintain strategic customer relationships and negotiate contracts. • Collaborate on joint business plans, influence customer decisions, and gather feedback. Driving the top line • Oversee budget allocation, revenue, and profit targets achievement. • Develop KPIs, track performance, and adjust strategies accordingly. KEY CHALLENGES: • Requires resilience, leadership, and interpreting limited data. KEY SKILLS: • Full driving license, proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint/Word. • Understanding of Category Management, skilled negotiator, creative, and innovative. BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES: • Ability to anticipate market trends, persuade stakeholders, and remain effective under pressure. EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS: • Several years of proven sales experience, negotiation skills, and leadership in executing strategic plans.
