Account Manager - Ingredients

We are looking for an Account Manager to deal with Industrial B2B Clients across Savoury, Meat & Poultry..
What’s on offer:
The role offers hybrid working. The office is based in the South East area 1 x per month
£40-55k + Company Car / allowance + bonus + benefits
The role:
Managing the relationship within a designated portfolio of customer accounts by understanding their capability and the specific requirements of their markets and products.
Responsible for identifying and developing sales opportunities within your account portfolio.
Responding to briefs to carry out new product formulation and existing product optimisation.
Lead internal and customer trials, product presentations, facilitating communication with relevant departments and being the primary point of contact for all projects, issues or concerns.
Support internal departments with investigations, complaints, quality issues relating to your customer portfolio.
Have a full understanding of company’s capabilities and knowledge of production and quality standards, whilst understanding the strategic aims of the business.
The ideal candidate will ideally:
Have proven experience of success in the UK Ingredient industry.
An entrepreneurial approach by communicating clearly the opportunities from customers to the cross functional teams within the business
Be highly professional and an effective communicator
Be a great team player, with excellent interpersonal skills
Be well organised, self-motivated and able to work independently
Have good presentation skills, able to present, negotiate and persuade effectively
Be able to handle and prioritise a large number of accounts – ability to multi-task
A level of technical and development understanding in savoury ingredients
Be able to develop a relationship across many departments within the customers; from NPD, purchasing, marketing, commercial and at senior levels within the business
Be personable, enthusiastic, positive and articulate, able to get on with all manners of personalities.
