Senior Key Account Manager - FS & QSR
Alexander Steele is recruiting on behalf of a Global Manufacturer of Food Ingredients / innovative food solutions. Our client is a leader in their field and this is a fantastic opportunity to join a global manufacturer of innovative ingredients.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Key Account Manager to join the team and manage specific accounts blue chip accounts within the Industrial B2B, FS & QSR channel.
Hybrid Working - 1 x per month in the Office min (South UK)
Ideally situated between Leeds & London.
Expected travel per week - 2/3 days per week
£60k - £70k + Company Car / allowance + Bonus + Benefits
What your tasks are:
To develop, lead & execute the Industry strategy.
To develop profitable sales & create strong long term customer partnerships, in line with the UK business strategy.
To manage projects & take leadership for critical business activities (NPD, EPD), directing relevant R&D colleagues plus supporting the Sales Director with the wider team including Customer Services.
Monitor results on a monthly basis and implement corrective action to ensure achievement of budgeted targets.
Be a valued member of the leadership team.
Take control of Ad hoc project leadership as needed to achieve strategic priorities.
Commercial Management:
Accountability for delivering budgeted sales in volume, turnover, gross margin £ & %.
Develop & execute clear strategy for industrial channel ensuring full stakeholder alignment within the UK team, Business Units & Large Accounts Division.
Develop senior level relationships with key customer & industry bodies.
Integrate the relevant Customer Service team members into the commercial function ensuring both strong relationships within the operations function and putting the customer at the centre of focus.
To lead team & manage critical projects in order to ensure the business (NPD, EPD) is well managed.
Strong collaboration with the BU to ensure alignment of key product priorities.
Strong collaboration with the Channel Division to ensure Global alignment.
Leadership:

Key Skills / Competencies:
Proven experience of team & people management driven by high standards and strong ethics
Proven track record of sales within food business (experience of retail & OR large account management)
Superlative negotiation skills & proven commercial acumen
Ability to network at board level both internally & externally
