This role will be to provide technical support and assistance to customers, clients, or internal teams in relation to food products and services. You will work closely with the Technical Services Manager to address technical issues, ensure compliance with food safety regulations, and maintain the quality standards of the company's products. What You’ll Be Doing • Customer Support: Assist customers or clients in resolving technical issues related to food products, processes, or services. Provide prompt and accurate responses to inquiries, troubleshoot problems, and offer appropriate solutions or escalate to senior technical staff when necessary. • Food Safety Compliance: Ensure that food products and processes comply with applicable food safety regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, HACCP, GMP). Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas of non-compliance and collaborate with relevant teams to implement corrective actions. • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, such as product testing, sensory evaluations, and shelf-life studies. Assist in monitoring and analyzing quality data to identify trends, potential issues, or areas for improvement. • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain accurate documentation of technical specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other relevant documents. Ensure that documentation is up-to-date, accessible, and compliant with regulatory requirements. • Product Development Support: Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to support the introduction of new products or processes. Assist in conducting trials, evaluating results, and providing technical input to optimize product formulations, processes, or packaging. • Training and Education: Stay updated on industry trends, food safety regulations, and emerging technologies to enhance knowledge and support effective training initiatives. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, regulatory affairs, and customer service, to address technical issues, implement process improvements, and ensure customer satisfaction. • Supporting on environmental and ethical standards. • Global travel intermittently. Experienced required • Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, HACCP, GMP). • Understanding of quality control principles and practices in the food industry. • Familiarity with food manufacturing processes, ingredients, and packaging materials. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse technical issues. • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers, internal teams, and regulatory authorities. • Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
