Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards 2019

​We would like to congratulate all this year’s winners of the Scottish Food and Drink Excellence Awards held last night!

The annual event was held in the Edinburgh Corn Exchange where 52 of Scotland’s top food and drink businesses gathered for the prestigious event in front of 800 guests. The awards distinguish the highest quality produce whilst recognising leading individuals, suppliers and companies.

Now in its 20th year with over 320 entries across all categories (a 20% increase to 2018) the Excellence Awards focuses on the delicious produce driving customer choice and value within the market whilst taking on the overarching aim to double the value of the food and drink industry by 2030.

This year’s winners include;

  • Product of the Year – Loch Fyne Oysters

  • Fish and Seafood Product of the Year – Loch Fyne Oysters

  • Primary Producer of the Year – Yesterdairies

  • Export Business of the Year – Scotseafarms

  • Young Talent of the Year – Jordan Russell from Aldomak

  • Entrepreneur of the Year – Sally Beattie and Emer Bustard from LazyDayFoods Ltd

  • Scottish Sourcing (Independent) – The Three Chimneys Skye

  • Scottish Sourcing (Multiple Operator) – AldiUK

  • Artisanal Product of the Year – East Coast Cured with their Porcini & Truffle Salami

  • Healthy Choice Product of the Year – Grahams Dairy with their Skyr Yoghurt

  • The Confectionary, Drinks & Snacking Product of the Year – Drinks Bakery with their Lancashire Cheese and Spring Onion Drinks Biscuits

  • Savouries & Accompanies Product of the Year – Wild Fig Food with their Seville Orange and Malt Whiskey Marmalade

  • Dairy Product of the Year – Torrylinn Creamery with their Vintage Cheddar

  • Bakery Product of the Year – Deans Shortbread with their Dean’s Steven Brown Art, Lizzie McCoo All Butter Shortbread

  • Meat Product of the Year – East Coast Cured with their Whiskey Oak Smoked Nduja

  • Scotch Product of the Year – McCaskie Butcher with their Unsmoked Back Bacon

  • Outstanding Contribution – The late Andrew Fairlie
