Tracey is a rising star at Alexander Steele. After years in media sales, she decided that 2021 seemed like the right time for a change and began to pursue a career in recruitment. Since joining us, she has shown huge enthusiasm to learn resulting in her signing multiple new clients and placing her candidates in their dream jobs. As we approach a new sales year, we asked Tracey to put down her thoughts on her first few months with us as she looks forward to her future...

"I joined the world of recruitment after almost 14 years in media sales! I started with the company in July and since day 1 I’ve been supported, challenged but best of all I know that those around me believe in me! 

From the moment I interviewed with the directors I just knew that Alexander Steele was somewhere I was going to love working and I was right!

Once I'd started, the onboarding and induction was seamless. One to one meets with each member of the ASR team were set up - such a great way to meet everybody and get to know their backgrounds and they also really helped me understand how my experience would help me succeed in the world of recruitment. There was also a big focus on one to one training with my manager to teach me about the sector, to make sure I was ok and to talk about my progress so far. 

Encouragement is given from each member of the team which allows me to be able to reach out to anybody whenever I need help and feel comfortable doing so. I’m learning daily from those that have a wealth of experience in recruitment and the sector they recruit for. 

I’m now 4 months in to my role and I've gained so much, I continue to learn every day and I’m excited for what the future holds for me at ASR. Everyday I wish I'd done this sooner but I know that I feel this way because I've chosen to join the right company who offer a huge amount of support, belief and encouragement to their staff."
