Senior Key Account Manager

Senior Key Account Manager Alexander Steele are working in partnership with an award-winning food manufacturer. The business produces high quality products, that are sold into major retailers, QSR’s and food service establishments. RESPONSIBILITES • To ensure delivery of the role’s relevant short and long term business objectives. • To work out & implement a business strategy with Finance that is rooted in granular understanding of our customer’s strategy. • To expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives • To build a network of existing and new client contacts in current and new markets with the aim of optimising capacity • To develop existing accounts through organic growth (range extension, promo / limited Edition…) and to win new clients • To constantly find new ways of improving margin, notably through innovative end-to-end projects. • To establish effective internal relationships with all departments in order to reach and maintain superior customer service levels. • To actively promote and protect the core values of the business and to encourage a culture of commitment and development. • To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required inclusive of ad-hoc projects related to business benefits. ALL ABOUT YOU • You enjoy dealing with customers especially in a non-transactional, integrated relationship • You enjoy and are good at opening new doors: your target is to secure a few new accounts • You have prior experience in managing B2B deals or B2B2C in a private label context • You are comfortable operating in lean businesses with little support (for example: no marketing team) but know what is best in class to help us get there while enjoying the warmth & the agility of small business. • You enjoy business travel (inc. Europe) as part of your role. • You have high level of business acumen to understand where we can generate profit given our assets & manufacturing footprint. Experience: • Proven experience as key account manager • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels • Gravitas to manage key accounts • Wide commercial skills ranging from sales to marketing and customer service • Ability in problem-solving and negotiation Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Leadership, organisation and prioritisation skills, coupled with ability to operate tactically as well as think and grow strategically • Excellent communication and coaching skills. • Self-motivated, results orientated, and organised. • Must be open to receiving performance feedback and be able to react to the feedback in a positive manner. • Preferred: • Food manufacturing experience • SAP experience What’s on offer: Up to £90k + car allow + bonus + benefits If you are interested in hearing more about it this position, please contact Greg at greg.carroll@alexandersteele.com By applying for this role, you are agreeing to be registered with us in accordance to our T&C’s/Privacy Policy.
