Assistant Engineering Manager

Alexander Steele are delighted to be partnering once again with this wonderful business, our client are a well established multi-site food manufacturer who remain family owned. They have asked us to assist them in the recruitment for an Assistant Engineering Manager for their site based in Oxfordshire. The manufacturing base of the business has seen some significant growth which will continue, due to this and a restructure of the Engineering team the requirement to bring in a high calibre Assistant Engineering Manager is now a priority. You will be part of a team of 6 AEM's. This role forms part of a dynamic Engineering leadership team, which is leading the business through an exciting period of growth and expansion, this incredibly well resourced team will allow the individual to have all of the necessary support to deliver their key objectives. This role reports to the Deputy Head of Engineering & Head of Engineering. The core purpose of this role is to be responsible and accountable to deliver medium to long term strategic direction for the safe, efficient and cost effective management of the site. This will be achieved by meeting agreed targets & objectives whilst maintaining plant reliability. My client pride themselves on providing their customers the highest service levels and the best quality products so we are looking for individuals who have delivered these types of high standards throughout their careers, you will also have experience in Mechanical systems and PLC/CLX, SACDA, HMI, Robots and Drive Programming. You must have a background in large scale, high volume food manufacturing with an up to date knowledge of LEAN, equipment and technology, but you must have a foundation in development of people, performance, transformational change and teamwork, with a continuous improvement approach. The salary on offer for this role is up to £55k, along with a pension and 33 days holiday.
