Business Development Manager - On Trade Alexander Steele is recruiting on behalf of an exciting producer of Non alcoholic aperitifs! Our clients manufacture and bottle their product within the UK and boasts award winning products, made with sustainably sourced botanicals. The business has a reputation for sustainable practises and has exciting growth plans both in the UK and across international markets. They work across all channels, with listings in over 1,000 bars and restaurants, a strong e-commerce offering through our own website and Amazon and an expanding international footprint. Hybrid working - Travel across On-trade in London £35-40k (Open to higher depending on experience) + Benefits Responsibilities Building a network: Getting to know new areas, accounts and people quickly and building a solid account base. Selling the portfolio into accounts: Telling the clients story to create genuine partnerships with accounts who are proud to serve our products. Training and tasting: We know that when people taste the liquid, the reactions are incredible, so a big part of our strategy is around sampling, talking and tasting with people. Optimising rate of sale: We know when we get the right venue, menu and drink, the results are incredible. We need this person to be naturally curious about how to improve every touchpoint in existing accounts. Experience Required Curious about flavour, and conscious about brands, sourcing and sustainability. The product is all about flavour and the abundance of the natural world. If these things are important to you, this will help you in your role. An existing network and good understanding of the drinks trade: We can train you on the products and the non-alc category, but we need you to come armed with some knowledge and experience of how the drinks trade works and an existing network of contacts both with customers and route to market reps. Recent experience of London account base would be a bonus. A natural communicator: We need people who can tell a story that makes people dream and believe. If you are sociable and like to persuade, convince and cajole, this could be a great role for you. A Self-Starter: As a small company, you will be given significant responsibility. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, driven and sets clear goals for themselves. You should expect to hit the ground running, and be used to asking for help and direction when you need it.
