Business Development Manager
South East England - with access to London

Alexander Steele have partnered on an exclusive basis with an award-winning premium food business. The business supplies their high-quality products into some of the UK’s most prestigious hotels, restaurants and food service establishments.
This role focuses on driving profitable revenue growth by identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities.
Key responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and qualify potential new clients in new and existing channels including, but not limited to, Hotels, Restaurants, Retailers and Food manufacturers by cold calling, networking, online research, and industry events.
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to secure new business, including tailored presentations, proposals, and pricing strategies.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent progress towards sales targets.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities within your prospects and the wider sector.
- Represent the business at trade shows and industry events, promoting the company's products and services to potential clients.
- Negotiate contracts and convert deals that meet both customer needs and company objectives.
- Accurately forecast sales and maintain meticulous records of all client interactions within the CRM system.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
Experience and skills required:
- Proven track record of success in a business development or sales role within the food industry, ideally with experience in the HORECA sector.
- Demonstrated ability to generate new leads, develop new markets, and consistently exceed sales targets.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and strategies, with a demonstrated ability to tailor approaches to different client needs and market segments.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales-related software such as LinkedIn.
The role is field based, covering Greater London & surrounding areas.
