We are recruiting a Business Development Manager for a food manufacturing client in the London area, our client is a food manufacturer supplying clients within the UK and worldwide. This role will focus on Wholesale, Cash and Carry and Convenience clients.

Key responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed annual target for sales for existing accounts
- Ensure a high quality of service is provided to all customers, with emphasis put on key accounts.
- Be involved in new product launches and development while also exceeding target for sale of new products.
- Identify high spend account and ensure action plans are in place to meet targets for these accounts, while also ensuring further growth of accounts.
- Maintain key historical sale documents and similar key data so it can be traced, analysed and communicated to relevant superiors and as a tool for providing continuous service to the customers.
- Develop and maintain a new business pipeline within the food industry with a major focus on wholesale.
Experience and skills required:
- Previous experience working with UK Wholesale/Cash and Carry/Convenience required
- Strong business development skills
- Communication and negotiation skills
- Analytical thinking to analyse trends in market
- High quality time management and organisational skills
- Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
