Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager Are you interested in working with one of the UK’s largest Snack Food brands? Alexander Steele is working in partnership with a global, multisite manufacturing & distribution business. They are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing take home and on the go products within Convenience and Impulse channels. You will create and implement strategic business plans to deliver sales and profit targets for the business. You will need to be someone that has a natural ability to build and maintain positive relationships. Ideally you will have experience within FMCG national accounts and must be willing and able to travel nationally to customers. The business would be looking to pay up to £45,000 + 10% bonus + company car + benefits. The role: • Develop the take home and on the go, product ranges within convenience outlets & impulse channels. • Reporting into the head of category • Expectation to grow existing product ranges & be involved with promoting new innovations. • The ideal candidate must have good category knowledge. • Create joint business plans that reflect the category and brand objectives of the business. • Will take full responsibility of the P&L for these channels and full autonomy in regard to agreed trading terms The Candidate: • Experience within the FMCG Sector and dealing with National Accounts. • Sound understanding of joint business planning • Proven experience in growing accounts • Ability to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, to be able to deal with ambiguity and conflicts • Willing to travel at least once a week to Yorkshire site • Open to occasional travel and overnight stays Home working with one day a week in the Yorkshire office* If you would like to find out more about this great opportunity, please apply with your most recent CV at sam.gilmour@alexandersteele.com or call Sam Gilmour on 0161 507 1424.
