Business Development Manager - Spirits
Alexander Steele has partnered with an Independent Distiller who has blended some of the finest Whiskies in the world. The company produces several high quality Blends from their UK based Distillery and are looking for a Business Development Manager to cover the Midlands / South UK
The main aspects of the role will be to increase sales of the companies portfolio of brands which includes: Whiskey, Gin, Vodka & champagne through driving sales, distribution, visibility, executing promotions and tastings at both on-trade and retail level.
Whats on offer:
Basic salary of £40,000 to £50,000 (dependent upon experience), 10% Pension + 20% Bonus
Key responsibilities include:
To increase sales of the groups Portfolio of products
Account Management of some regional direct accounts across traditional wholesale / convenience channels
Increase sales across the Premium On-Trade sector as well as Off Trade specialists & Luxury Hotels / Restaraunts
Geographic focus of the Midlands - London / South East
Candidate Experience:
Ideally 3 year's spirits Industry experience
Structured management approach to areas of responsibility
Ability to sell to different channels of trade and consumers and will have credibility with those trade customers
Insight into what works for driving sales across our portfolio (mainstream - premier - super premium category / consumer approach)
Key Skills / Competencies:
Entreprenerurial in nature - real ability to make things happen quickly, spot opportunities, leverage relationships
Very active (+90% of time is customer facing) - confident, extrovert, passionate & dynamic
The ability and credibility to influence experts at a consumer and trade level
Strong presentation skills required along with spirts and trade category knowledge
Advances PowerPoint and Excel skills and social media "savvy"
