Here at Alexander Steele Recruitment we have partnered with a large food manufacturer who work with large UK retailers and global food service customers. They are looking for a Compliance manager to join their team to work across their sites in the UK and Europe. Reporting to the QA Manager, the Compliance Technologist will work within the Quality Team and will be responsible for the auditing of Food Safety and Quality standards across all sites. You will be carrying out internal audits (GMP & Internal), documenting both compliance and non-conformance, escalating this to the Management Team and ensuring robust corrective actions are implemented and verified THE PACKAGE: The salary for this role is £28,000 to £30,000 doe Working Monday to Friday 24 days holiday + bank holudas Enhanced company pension Life insurance KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: •Conduct internal audits across all sites to both BRC, SQMS and other relevant customer codes of practice •Ensure all audits both GMP, Internal and Glass audits are carried out to schedule •Support all sites in ensuring the passing of all third-party audits, customer audits and visits. •Ensure all auditing documentation is reviewed and kept current •Monitor good hygiene practices across all sites through auditing •Conduct monthly Environmental swabbing and trend results Prepare monthly micro samples and quarterly shelf-life samples, monitor results and trend •Prepare audit data and submit to QA Manager, in a timely fashion, for review in Monthly Review Meetings •Ensure all actions raised during auditing are reviewed with the Departmental Manager/Nominated Deputy and corrective actions are agreed and are robust •Register all audit non-conformances onto the QPulse system and be responsible for their management and closure. •Participate in Traceability and Recall exercises •Liaise with service providers as and when required THE CANDIDATE: •Experience and knowledge of BRC and participating in audits •Auditing qualification and experience (Ideally Lead Auditor) •HACCP and Food Safety Qualifications (Ideally Level 3) •It is essential that you are able to travel within the UK and overseas. •You must be an organised and diligent individual •Holds a degree or equivalent in Food Science, Microbiology or a related discipline If you think this is the role for you please apply with an up to date CV or for more information please contact Tracey on 0131 370 9191 / 07837566646 or email tracey.fleming@alexandersteele.com
