Contracts Manager

Our client is a leading Contractor in the UK, operating across three key divisions (Fitout, M&E Services and Maintenance). The company work on a number of National Frameworks in the Retail, Banking & Leisure sector as well as undertaking Design & Build Construction projects in a variety of sectors. As a result of recent & sustained expansion, they are currently looking to recruit an experienced & motivated Contracts Manager to join their team, managing retail and banking fit out projects on national frameworks. This position will be based in their Warrington office with a mixture of travel and remote or office working. The ideal candidate will have a frameworks banking background, however a background in stores is also suitable. Some design experience may be of benefit. The Role To work as a delivery lead on medium sized workplace projects, reporting into the Programme Management Director. Will act as project manager on a variety of workplace projects with a wide group of stakeholders in corporate environments. Monitor progress of work, identify and coordinate collation of risks and present in reports. Provide progress on a weekly basis. Establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand and influence their activities and promote and enhance the client goals and reputation. Provide effective leadership to health & safety matters by actively promoting health & safety awareness and ensuring the provision of safe working practices. Support and coach more junior project team members and be an advocate for learning and development. Experience will be required/desirable in the following areas: scheduling, (MS Project or Asta), managing licence to alterations, pre-contract design team management and report writing. The PM will require sufficient understanding to be able to: prepare accurate project briefs, review contractor responses (designs, cost, methodology, programme), prepare contract award documentation and recommendation reports.
