Controls Engineer

The role: Alexander Steele are on the lookout for a Controls Engineer to join an ambitious and growing Food production business in the East London area, supplying major supermarkets & wholesalers throughout the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a strong team and have an impact on a large organisation. Key responsibilities • To be the site expert regarding all matters relating to Electrical standards and control systems, providing guidance / training as well as hands on assistance when necessary • Compile accurate and detailed electrical specifications for plant, equipment and installations • Site Duty Holder This role reports to the Engineering Manager. The candidate: • Strong background in Electrical Engineering • Ability to develop and train staff • Experience working in Food manufacturing highly desirable • Experienced working with PLCs and all other aspects of Electrical Engineering • Strong knowledge of the Electricity at Work Act and site electrical code of practice • Problem solvers and will think out of the box • Up-beat, positive and possess a good attitude to work On offer: • Highly competitive salary • Monday – Friday Day Shift, 37.5 hours per week, on call every 4th week
