Alexander Steele continue to work in partnership with this wonderful food manufacturer based in Norfolk who are currently looking to recruit a permanent Despatch Manager to work Monday to Friday with a starting salary of up to £45k
As part of the site senior management team, the Despatch Manager is responsible for all stock allocation and reconciliation on-site, and the product movement process and allocation via the in-house despatch team.
Working in partnership with production and warehouse function, the Despatch Manager will manage this process through the Despatch team on a shift basis; helping identify and develop areas of improvement and consistently aim for a comprehensive On Time & In Full distribution service.
The role includes departmental budget control, team coaching and development, KPI management and monitoring, and process improvement identifying and developing.
The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate a proven track record in Food distribution management either directly for a Food Manufacturer or managing a temperature controlled food 3PL contract.
The role requires systems and process improvement experience, strong communication skills and you will be able to demonstrate a willingness to lead by example in a highly pressurized logistics operation.
The ability to manage departmental budgets and targets is preferable but not essential
