Job Title: Factory Trainer
Salary: £30,000

Job Role

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the learning and development of site personnel by delivering both mandatory and ad hoc training, ensuring team capability and compliance across all operational areas.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess training needs for both new and existing employees, and design tailored training programs to meet those needs.
  • Deliver job-specific and key skills training to ensure operational competency.
  • Ensure completion and understanding of Job-Specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct refresher training sessions and communicate updates as required.
  • Provide ad hoc training in response to operational or compliance demands.
  • Support operational teams during peak periods with hands-on assistance as needed.
  • Maintain and regularly update training matrices to reflect current staff qualifications and training status.
  • Organise and coordinate training events, including managing venues, equipment, and logistics.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting on training activities and ongoing development projects.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to delegate effectively when required.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, demonstrating flexibility towards changing business demands.
  • Proactive, dynamic and motivational with the ability to deliver results in a fast paced, pressurised environment.
  • IT skills to include Microsoft packages.
  • Flexible approach to working hours is essential.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English to a high standard.
  • You MUST have previous experience of providing training within a manufacturing environment.
