Alexander Steele is supporting a dynamic, rapidly growing drink manufacturing business based near Edinburgh. An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Graduate / Trainee NPD Technologist to join the technical team and support all things new product development. This position is based on site, which is located near Edinburgh City Centre. The organisation are going through a fantastic growth period, and it's the perfect opportunity for an individual who wants to forge a career in drink manufacturing with a business that genuinely supports and promotes career progression and growth. The Role Fully understand business and customer requirements. Assist with factory trials from concept through to post-launch Work closely with production, technical & sales teams to ensure they are informed and committed to delivering critical paths. Working across different functions within the business on internal and external customer presentations. Assist with customer taste panels and GMPs in testing Information collection of comparative products and associated benchmarking panels Assist with customer sample requests Manage NPD raw materials, packaging and samples The Candidate Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (e.g. Food Science/Chemistry) Previous food manufacturing experience is preferred Well organised, analytical and logical mindset Understanding of food safety and HACCP Keen interest and passion for Drinks PC literate Good communication skills Willing and capable of learning new skills Excellent team working skills across all relevant departments with the ability to manage your workload Problem-solving skills and willingness to take on a challenge.
