Alexander Steele has partnered with a leading Food Manufacturer that is looking for a Health, Safety, Environmental & Facilities Manager. It is a key leadership role, guiding their compliance, environmental, and people safety strategy across the site.
Location: Kent
Salary: Up to £49,000 plus Performance related bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm (Onsite)

General Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe, legally compliant working environment for all staff
- Develop and maintain H&S policies, procedures, and risk assessments
- Lead incident investigations and drive corrective action plans
- Coordinate site inspections, audits, fire drills, and lone-working protocols
- Champion the Environmental & Sustainability strategy, aligning with wider business goals
- Oversee facilities maintenance, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery
- Mentor and support the Environmental & Sustainability Coordinator
- Lead H&S committee meetings and deliver internal training sessions
- Collaborate closely with Production, Technical, HR, and other business functions
- Manage onboarding inductions for new and agency staff
- Stay current with HSE regulations and best practices
- NEBOSH General Certificate (essential)
- 3+ years’ experience in H&S management within manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of H&S, COSHH, and environmental legislation
- Background in industrial/manufacturing environments
- Confident team leader with strong communication skills
- Full UK driving licence and full right to work in the UK
