Health, Safety, Environmental & Facilities Manager
Alexander Steele has partnered with a leading Food Manufacturer that is looking for a Health, Safety, Environmental & Facilities Manager. It is a key leadership role, guiding their compliance, environmental, and people safety strategy across the site.
Location: Kent
Salary: Up to £49,000 plus Performance related bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm (Onsite)

General Responsibilities:

Ensure a safe, legally compliant working environment for all staff
Develop and maintain H&S policies, procedures, and risk assessments
Lead incident investigations and drive corrective action plans
Coordinate site inspections, audits, fire drills, and lone-working protocols
Champion the Environmental & Sustainability strategy, aligning with wider business goals
Oversee facilities maintenance, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery
Mentor and support the Environmental & Sustainability Coordinator
Lead H&S committee meetings and deliver internal training sessions
Collaborate closely with Production, Technical, HR, and other business functions
Manage onboarding inductions for new and agency staff
Stay current with HSE regulations and best practices

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

NEBOSH General Certificate (essential)
3+ years’ experience in H&S management within manufacturing
Strong working knowledge of H&S, COSHH, and environmental legislation
Background in industrial/manufacturing environments
Confident team leader with strong communication skills
Full UK driving licence and full right to work in the UK
