Alexander Steele Recruitment are delighted to be working alongside a fantastic business in the Aberdeenshire area as they look to add an experienced HSE Manager to their team. Reporting directly to the Head of Manufacturing, you will be responsible for all measurement, management and implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental Policies across both sites in Scotland with the assistance of a H&S Coordinator directly reporting to the role. There is an expectancy for weekly travel between base site in Aberdeenshire to sister site in the Central Belt. Key Responsibilities: - Promote good safety behaviours and support with the development of a strong Health and Safety focused culture across the business. - Utilising your Health and Safety experience, support the development of measurement systems to ensure that Health and Safety performances are accurately monitored. - Work alongside the operational teams to identify any possible operational risks or opportunities and ensure an appropriate and effective response. - Liaising with employees, subcontractors and suppliers on all Health and Safety matters as and when required. - Successfully implement the business H&S strategy, working closely with the Site Manager on this. - Responsible for conducting training, toolbox talks, inductions and when necessary, investigate any incidents. - Identify areas of improvement through site audits and inspections, reporting on any findings. - Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety legislations and any developments which may affect the company. - To review all risk assessments and actively undertake risk assessments for tasks, processes or equipment ensuring that any risk control measures are implemented and communicated to all relevant colleagues. - To develop, implement and review H&S programmes and procedures. The Candidate: - NEBOSH Diploma and other relevant H&S qualifications. - Previous experience in a HSE Management role. - Full UK Driving Licence - Working knowledge of CDM - Strong communication and written skills - Ability to deliver results under pressure working to tight deadlines - Influential and motivated to promote a positive Health & Safety culture On Offer: - Working Pattern – Monday-Friday, days - Salary – £45,000 DOE - 3 x Death in Service Life Assurance - Permanent Health Insurance - Private Medical Insurance - 32 days annual leave If you would like to learn more about this opportunity, please apply with your most recent CV or get in touch with Aaron Wallace for more information.
