Maintenance Engineer

Alexander Steele Recruitment are working alongside a large UK Food Manufacturing company to find Maintenance Engineers to join their site in the outskirts of Glasgow due to business expansion. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will effectively deliver efficient service support for all the sites manufacturing equipment, using downtime to work on preventative maintenance plans. Key Responsibilities: Maintain or improve on current OEM standards, maximising manufacturing. Ensuring all documents are appropriately and correctly recorded. Adhering to company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and safe standards are followed. Through teamwork and projects, involvement in the maintenance strategy. Maintaining both facilities and manufacturing equipment for efficiency and sustainability. Improvement on; operational efficiencies, product withdrawals/recalls. The Candidate: Relevant experience and/or qualification in a related engineering discipline. Relevant Food Hygiene certificate, Level 2 or higher. Enthusiastic and driven individual with flexibility and keenness to learn and develop. Proven track record of Maintenance Engineering within a FMCG environment. Literate with computer skills with a working knowledge of PLC controlled equipment. Strong attention to detail; numeracy accuracy, problem solving, process improvements.
