Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Alexander Steele is currently recruiting for an experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer for a leading Food Manufacturer based in the North East of England. The business is going through a period of expansion, and this would be the ideal time to join a business and progress your career further. You will be working on a rotating days and nights shift pattern; 4 on 4 off. The salary for the role is between £40,000 - £42,000 per annum. You must be a multi-skilled, electrically bias, and ideally have a background in Food Manufacturing / FMCG. The successful candidate will report into the Engineering Manager and be accountable for all reactive and proactive maintenance work across the site. The Role: • Performing preventative maintenance on site to ensure food safety • To drive efficiency improvements by reducing downtime • Servicing minor building and equipment repairs • Check for electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical faults - with various machinery including but not limited to production and packaging.
