Are you a passionate and driven foodie who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment?

I am working with a large food manufacturer that is looking for a Process Technologist to join their NPD team at their facility in London. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be the key link between product development and production—bringing exciting new products to life from concept to launch.

Salary on offer for this role is £40,000 - £45,000

About the Role

Reporting to the Process Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth product scale-up, consistent quality, and continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. You’ll also help introduce new technologies and drive innovation across our product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organise, and execute factory trials for new and existing products.

  • Lead and support process improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency, and value.

  • Collaborate with Technical, Operations, and Engineering teams to deliver successful product launches.

  • Support the commissioning of new equipment and evaluate new manufacturing technologies.

  • Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, and legal standards (including HACCP).

  • Gather and record key process data to ensure production accuracy and repeatability.

About You

You’ll be a self-motivated problem-solver who loves understanding how things work and making them better. You’ll combine technical expertise with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Experience in food manufacturing.

  • Practical understanding of processes such as extrusion, frying, baking, sheeting, flavouring, or raw material preparation.

  • HACCP Level 3

  • Strong IT and communication skills, with the ability to influence and work across teams.

Why Join this business?

You’ll be part of a supportive and innovative environment where new ideas are encouraged, and no two days are the same. They offer opportunities for professional growth, exposure to exciting product development projects, and the chance to shape the future of our category-leading products.
