NPD Technologist

Alexander Steele are working exclusively with one of the UK largest food to go businesses who supply both branded and private label products to UK retailers. Due to product expansion and company growth our client is looking for an NPD Technologist to join their team at their site in Suffolk. On offer: • A salary of £30,000 to £35,000 DOE • 33 days holiday • Company pension • Working Monday - Friday The Role: Reporting in to the NPD Manager, the NPD Technologists key responsibilities is to have a clear understanding of the market, the businesses customers and the consumers in order to develop new products and improve existing products. • Identify areas of development within retailer categories through category reviews, internal and external briefs. • Facilitate the delivery of agreed NPD and EPD in line with the retailers concept to launch process. • Project manage multiple produce launches though critical paths. • Develop close working relationships with internal stakeholders throughout the business to achieve company objectives•. • Ensure that good working relationships with customers. • Meet all H&S responsibilities in line with the company H&S policy. The candidate: • Hold a food related / science degree or equivalent. • A minimum of 1 years working in a food NPD environment. • A passion for food and food development. • Full understanding of labelling regulations and nutritional guidelines. • Excellent computer skills - MS Officer and Retailer / recipe platforms.
