UK Sales Controller - On Trade
Alexander Steele is recruiting on behalf of a well known, Independent Distiller who has blended some of the finest Whiskies in the world. Our client produces several high quality blends and also boats a portfolio which includes Champagne & Gin.
The main focus of the role will be to drive & develop an effective sales strategy with Key National & Regional Wholesalers to drive profit & sustainable growth. The successful candidate will manage the entire core customer base, with their Whiskey, Gin, Champagne & Value Brands.
This is an opportunity to work within the UK On-Trade sector, targeting "Symbol" Groups (MPO's) & Wholesalers.
Core Experience Required:
Structured National Account & Customer management experience with UK National On-Trade, Wholesale & MPO's
At least 5+ years experience working within the alcoholic Spirits category
3+ years experience within the Champagne category
Account Management experience of On-Trade wholesalers & multiple pub groups
Key Skills / Competencies:
Strong commercial background in Senior commercial role (within the UK, min 5 years)
Highly analytical with strong negotiation and presentation skills
a proven ability to develop, implement & execute JBP's with strong financially based arguments, in addition to new business opportunities
Ability to build powerful partnerships at all levels and communicate with impact and influence
Demonstrate a strong track record of delivering high performance
Appreciation and knowledge of Key Global trends within e-commerce & digital
Working in a matrix environment, able to deliver premium malt, champagne, gin & traditional / value brand objectives
