Food Warehouse Manager

I am delighted to be working with this small but mighty and growing business. This award winning food manufacturing business has already started making waves in the UK market and they are looking for a Food Production and Warehouse Manager to join a rapidly growing business in South East London.  As Operations Manager you will lead the Operations team in the day to day activities and helping to build our long-term operations strategy. The right candidate will have plenty of scope to make this role their own as this business moves into the next stage of growth. Our client is growing rapidly so an understanding of scaling up and managing production and warehouse processes is essential. Using your skills and initiative to implement and oversee our operations to ensure a smooth end to end process from goods in to production and to dispatch. You will manage two operatives as well as any temporary staff so it is that you have experience in leading and communicating effectively. You should also be confident using inventory managements systems and have knowledge of QMS and food safety - You will be responsible in ensuring all products are safe and produced to a high standard. Our client is looking for someone with 2-3 years experience in production and warehouse management and to have knowledge of food safety. Degree qualified and holds HACCP level 3. You main duties in this role will include: •Managing the day-to-day activities of the operations team and helping to scaling up the operation. •Leading operational strategy in line with wider business objectives. •Owning the entire production process from goods-in to production to dispatch. •Coordinating activities between the warehouse and production kitchen. •Planning, scheduling and reviewing workloads and manpower to make sure all products are delivered on time in full. •Owning the inventory management process including being responsible for the correct use of our specialist software. •Liaising with sales, finance and marketing to ensure all product operations are aligned with wider business strategy. •Continuously monitoring product quality to ensure a safe product, including overseeing food safety and quality management systems. •Ensuring all machinery and equipment is being used efficiently, and strategising on any new production processes as required. •Leading production and communicating with warehouse operatives to ensure a smooth transition between both operations. •Audit suppliers or manage internal audits. •Deal with any customer complaint investigations or product issues. •Compile, check and approve product specifications and labelling. •Undertake long-term projects with other departments, such as reducing waste by improving efficiency. •Build relationships with suppliers and customers. Our client is looking to pay up to £38,000 plus benefits which include pension, Personal Accident Insurance, Private Health Insurance with Axa, 24 days holidays plus bank holidays and an additional day off for your birthday!
