Alexander Steele are on the hunt for a Process Engineer to join a growing food manufacturing business based in the Hertfordshire area. This company supplies major supermarkets and wholesalers throughout the UK This is an exciting opportunity to join a strong team and a great company to work for.
On offer:
• £45,000 - £48,000 / year DOE
• Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
• 23 days + banks holidays

Key responsibilities:
• Ensure all areas are following standards
• Use Failure Mode and Effects Analysis to observe and mitigate risk for process changes
• Ensure all data is presented clearly and professionally with solutions to trends
• Take full accountability for use of best practice
• Drive improvement on the line using Continuous Improvement using reliability data, GEMBA observations and various other information inputs
• Coach and mentor operations and technical teams and where possible design and deliver training programmes
• Build strong relationships with Maintenance, Operations, Technical and various other related departments
• Technical role with a significant emphasis on Continuous improvement, Practical application of process development is a must
• Use of lean problem-solving tools e.g 5 WHYs, Ishikawa/Fish bone, RCPS etc
The candidate:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a record of solving problems at their root
• Ability to work within a team and achieve targets using strong communication skills
• Familiar with Lean Six Sigma
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Degree educated in Food Engineering, Technology or processing is desirable
