Production Manager

Our client is a global producer within the FMCG sector. Due to continued investment in both plant and people, they now have an opportunity for a Production Manager to join the business and play a key role within the team, managing a team of c30 staff. This role is critical given recent expansion and the upcoming implementation of new lines and products to site. Reporting to, and working closely with the Plant Manager, this role would suit an ambitious and capable individual who is committed to developing their own and their team’s skills whilst looking for a long term career. Qualifications: Demonstrable experience working in a 24/7 manufacturing environment Strong people management Strong project management Highly motivated, resilient and determined to succeed in this challenging environment Excellent organisational and time management skills Team player with leadership qualities Ability to effectively communicate across all levels Responsibilities: Manage and develop the team to ensure the highest levels of performance and safety standards are achieved Manage the integration of the lines and products to site Supporting the full production process for including, planning and purchasing Analyse, monitor, report and take appropriate corrective actions across all non-conformance issues including safety, quality, process control, output and scrap rates Lead and support site wide initiatives to improve health and safety, customer services, quality, housekeeping efficiencies Ensure training within the department is consistent, effective and documented for existing and new operators Work with the Engineering Manager to ensure that repair and PPM is balanced against operation output Manage and utilise labour within the department and across the site as appropriate Ensure the quality of our products is of the highest standard Ensure that housekeeping/5S is maintained Responsible for the department’s employee relations Play a key role in health and safety on site This is an excellent opportunity to work with a positive and encouraging group of individuals.
