Production Manager

Alexander Steele Recruitment is supporting a food manufacturing business in Edinburgh as they are looking to appoint a Production Manager. On Offer: •£40,000 - £50,000 DOE •Bonus •Monday – Friday – 40 hours per week •7am – 3pm •29 days annual leave You will have responsibility for the management and operations of their skilled production, packing and dispatch teams. The team is roughly around 50 people depending on the time of year. Production Manager Responsibilities: •Implementing the site training plan •Managing and developing operations staff •Helping with HR and payroll administration •Managing annual leave and sickness absence •Managing site H&S requirements •Managing and improving process efficiencies •Managing the maintenance schedule •Managing the calibration schedule •Managing and maintaining site H&H standards •Managing and monitoring traceability of all raw materials and finished products •Maintaining the site QMS and HACCP plan, and ensuring the site meets all food safety/legal and quality requirements •Responsible for food safety/legal and quality decisions •Managing & monitoring CCPs •Managing adherence to site allergen and organic controls •Ensuring all customer requirements are met •Helping with the NPD process •Managing Food Defence & Authenticity – TACCP Plan Experience required: •You must have food manufacturing experience •An already well-established production manager or a supervisor who is looking for their first management role •Strong leader •Exceptional people skills If you are interested in hearing more about it this position, please apply with your most recent CV or contact Iain Shanley for more information about the role.
